To all the people that think it is ‘pushy’ or ‘forceful’ to tell others to go Vegan:
I don’t think I’ll ever understand why people choose to go vegan/ vegetarian yet say that the people telling others to go vegan are wrong. Doesn’t that go against every reason why you chose to go vegan? We are the only ones who have the voice to tell people to stop slaughtering/ abusing animals, and you’re choosing to stay quiet? Why?! Do you not feel like you should be forcing your ‘Belief’ upon others? Because Animal Slaughter is NOT a belief! It’s not a story people choose to believe, it’s not a philosophy about how we came about, it’s not one person we choose to worship, nor is it a set of rules we choose to live by, it’s a fact and if we weren’t able to train ourselves into thinking it isn’t as bad as it really is, then everyone would do something about it.
There is no reason to be against the rights of animals other than greed, pleasure and power. You may think we were made to eat animals, but if there was no one to kill the animal on your plate for you, would you go out your way to hunt an animal down for your needs? If not, why? If yes, then do it rather than being lazy and relying on the people that abuse and beat the animals beforehand. Animals are not here to clothe us, to feed us or to give us our power.
If someone was to tell you that over a million people had been slaughtered in a few days by a group of men, would you continue saying ‘Oh that’s fine, I respect their beliefs, and they can keep doing it if they want.’ If you said yeah, then why? Is it because you think people deserve more rights then anything else in the world? Is it because you think the amount of space we take up, and harm we cause to the world defines the amount of power we have? WAKE UP AND OPEN YOUR EYES! We’re all animals! And we should be defending the ones without voices!
You have a voice, use it! What have you got to lose, that animals haven’t already lost?
